Explore the entire Peruvian jungle from the subtropical forest around Machu Picchu through the Manu National Park to the Madre de Dios River in the south of the Peruvian Amazon to the northern Peruvian Amazon around Iquitos and the Amazon River.
Our tour offer is wide, from 1 to 15 days, so everyone can choose. The subtropics near Machu Picchu are suitable for bird watching, especially hummingbirds, admiration of a big variety of orchids and bromeliads, and fruit and coffee growing. The Manu is the very best place for birding (it has over 1,000 bird species) and wildlife observation, including rare and endangered species. You can also choose a tour closer to the so-called Capital of the South Amazon – the Puerto Maldonado City, based in an eco-lodge along the Madre de Dios River. There is possible to watch monkeys, tapirs, parrots, toucans, the cock-on-the-rock, capybaras, sloths, reptiles, amphibians, giant river otters during the day or caymans at night. Or, visit a parrot and mammal clay licks early in the morning. If you prefer more adrenaline, give a try to canopy walk or zip-line in the treetops approx. 25 metres above the ground!
Around Iquitos, you can explore the wildlife navigating the Amazon River. There you can spot parrots, toucans, hummingbirds, monkeys, tapirs, turtles, caymans, jaguars, reptiles, amphibians, exotic insects, and rare species like the fish piranhas or pink dolphins. Our Inca Trail Machu packages also enable you to meet local people of the numerous indigenous tribes.
A visit to the Amazon Rainforest will change your view of life forever! Do not miss the chance of a lifetime!
