The Machu Picchu tours from Lima commence as our transfer picks you up from Astete International Airport and transports you to the railway station, either at Poroy (40 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40 minutes from Cusco). Boarding a train, you'll enjoy a scenic 1 hour and 45 minutes journey through diverse landscapes, passing lush fields and vibrant villages nestled in the foothills of the Andes. The route offers breathtaking views of mountains and the magnificent Urubamba River flowing through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first day doesn't involve a Machu Picchu tour. Instead, you settle into your hotel, and the remainder of the day is free. On the second day of the Machu Picchu tour from Lima, an early wake-up precedes your transfer to the bus station. There, you board a shuttle bus for a 25-minute journey along a zigzag path to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu.
