We, at Inca Trail Machu Agency is Peruvian, is registered with RUC 20602398529 and is authorized by the Ministry of Culture. We are authorized Tour Operators since 2017. Our Agency has successfully renewed its authorization for the following year. We would like to clarify that Inca Trail authorization is not a simple formality. To be authorized, an organization must justify that it has the economic, human and material means to operate, that it has sufficient and competent personnel (which must also be authorized) and, finally, an inspection is carried out to verify that the conditions are respected materials and security.


About our Licenses and Authorizations 

Inca Trail Machu EIRL - Travel Agency and Tour Operator has all the requirements and licenses necessary to operate and offer the various services of the tourism industry throughout the Peruvian territory. The institutions mentioned below are responsible for regulating the tourism industry in Peru and we are subscribed to them: 

  • We have the authorization of GERCETUR (Regional Office of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Cusco), a government organization that promotes competition, sustainability and diversification of Peruvian exportable products, tourism and crafts. 
  • We are registered in the SUNAT (National Superintendency of Tax Administration), institution attached to the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru, our RUC number is No. 20602398529. 
  • We are also subscribed to SERNANP to be able to operate in the Inca Road Network. The National Service of Natural Protected Areas by the State which is a specialized public technical agency of the Peruvian State, under the Ministry of Environment of Peru, responsible for directing and establishing the technical and administrative criteria for the conservation of the Natural Protected Areas of Peru.

Inca Trail Authorization 

Only authorized agencies can reserve and operate the Inca Trail trek. The Inca Trail authorization is issued every year and for 1 year to some agencies that must justify their ability to operate and perform the Inca Trail. The only proof of real guarantee that you have when choosing an agency is that it is authorized by the Peruvian Government. The Peruvian Government, from its official website www.machupicchu.gob.pe, shows all the authorized agencies. All authorized agencies are listed on that page and all unauthorized agencies are not listed. Whether you decide to do the Inca Trail trek with us or with another agency, you must do it with an authorized agency anyway.

 

In Chapter II, art 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the regulations for tourist use of the Inca Trail network of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, are Norman. annual authorizations so that travel agencies can operate, on the Inca Trail.
